Cuisant noviciat (The Flaming Novice) is a French spanking novel in two volumes by Paulette Vergès, a pseudonym of P. Beloti. It was first published by Collection des Orties Blanches in 1935 and is illustrated by Jim Black aka Luc Lafnet. However, while all 12 heliogravures are signed Jim Black, only two of them were really done by him, while ten were in fact done by P. Beloti.
